TITLE: “Boston and Maine Railroad”
SUBJECT: Luggage ticket/voucher for one chest/trunk. This one was for travel from Lynn to Boston. Pretty rare to see railroad ephemera from before the Civil War.
DATE: May 12, 1856.
SIZE: It measures 2.25 by 7 inches.
CONDITION: It has several fold marks where it was tucked in someone’s pocket during travel. There is a mark on the left that looks like wax.
