Superb Vintage Original Rare Reversible Paraffin Road Light Railway Lantern Chalwyn? Lamp
A lovely original, either road or light railway lantern. This is one of only two that I had, the other one having already been sold. This one has the unusual feature of allowing the lantern to be turned via loosening the central wing nut. The lantern comes with an original paraffin wick (though obviously I am not sure if these two items have always been together, but it all looks authentic enough). I have looked the item over and there is wear commensurate with working age and internally it is a bit grimy, presumably from when it was used. A really charming item. Please see photographs to view the condition for yourself as item is sold as seen.
