0 gauge locomotive LNWR Precursor Tank locomotive. Built from a Gladiator kit.. Condition is Used. This locomotive is built from a Gladiator Models etched brass kit. The model is fitted with Slaters wheels and is modelled on the second batch of loco.s fitted with smaller 3ft dia. trailing and bogie wheels. The model has a sprung leading bogie and trailing axle. Also the leading driving wheels are sprung. The model is fitted with a skew wound motor from Taff Vale models and their matching Exactoscale gearbox. The motor is fitted with a large dia. flywheel. Additional details have been added in the cab based on prototype photos. All the sand pipes and brake gear are fitted. Lamp irons, safety valve, and other details are from the Laurie Griffin range. Additional weight is fitted in the side tanks over the wheels.
The model is in LNWR black livery with the large lettering and company crest but the lining is not complete and number plates are not fitted. These are available from Guilplates and other suppliers. The bunker requires a coal load !
The loco. has been test run only. Change of modelling direction to BR blue has prompted this sale!
