1950sVintage LocoPubCo Cut-out Card Kit. Flying Scotsman & 1825 Locomotion.Avery fine and large cut-out sheet contained in a high quality thickpaper wrapper/folder presented like an oversize Micromodels kit. Thetheme of the cut-out is a comparison between the Locomotion #1 of1825 and the famous LNER Flying Scotsman of 1924. What adifference a hundred years can make. The thin card cut-out sheetopens out to 19.75 x 15.25″ inches. It has exceptional colouredartwork. The scale is not given but the Flying Scotsman with Tenderwould be approximately 13.75″ long made-up. The wrapper which is all black and white is sized 15.5″ x 6.75″. Instructionsfor building both models are on the reverse. The publisher is – TheLocomotive Publishing Co. Ltd & Ian Allan, Terminal House,Shepperton, England, The kit is not dated. I estimate the publishingdate as being in the mid 1950s. The price shown on the wrapper isfive old Shillings (5/-). Condition is very fine bright, clean,strong and true very near to as issued.
