Authentic – Original Erie Railroad Ledger…________________ERIE RAILROAD COMPANYThe New Jersey and New York Railroad CompanyPeter Duryee, TrusteeRECORD OF EMPLOYEES’ TIME AT CORRY, PALedger sheets from December 1956 to August 1956________________________Each sheet as the name Erie Railroad at the top. They list Employee’s Name, Occupation, Time, Pay Rate, Dollar Amount and some have Remarks. Most sheets are filled in but a couple in the back are blank. 50 sheets in the ledger.Upper right corner of each sheet has the name A.A. Carbone, Agent List of occupations include Agent, Relief Check Clerk, Compt Opr, General Clerk, Checker, Trucker.This is a large ledger book. It has a heavy cardboard cover. Measures 13.75″ by 16.5″. You can imagine that it was on a table and the agent or supervisor would manually fill in the ledger sheets, handwrite them, each week as the railroad employees completed their time. Names listed are handwritten so I think they are spelled: Carbone, Hammond, Fultz, Kinney, Hager, Burrows, McMahon, Blanchard, Barr, Miller and a couple that I cannot read.Erie Railroad was in operation from 1832-1960.Condition as shown in the photos – it was really used, is original from the Erie Railroad at the Corry, PA station. Cover boards have rub and scuff, age and use, scratches, soiling, chips in the board, tape at the bottom of cover keeping pieces in place. Inside pages have handwriting, use wear, etc. Pre-owned, being sold “as is” as was found for your collection. __________________

May have owner’s name or inscription and underlining, notes in text. Fair: Shows heavy use, large stains, heavy soiling, tears, and a page may be loose or missing.
