Rare 1960s Vintage Train British Rail Omniprinter Railway Conductors Train Guard Ticket Machine .
These Omni Printer ticket machines were intoduced by British Rail in the 1960s. It is a nice piec3 of Railwayana or Collectable Railways Memorabilia.
It has been suggested that this was made by AEG, but I cannot confirm this .
This does not have any tickets so I cannot tell if it works . All of the setting levers move / work and the handle turns , it is a little stiff , it rotates 360 degrees then clicks into place again . The identification plaque appears to show the makers mark , this reads KALNr then a series of numbers , perhaps serial numbers 4400 HH224.
The metal casing has some wear , the. There is a green knurled synthesis section . It needs tidying up and it may need attention I am not sure . It measures 9 inches x 9 inches ( including handle ) x 3.5 inches at its widest.
