This is for 2issues of Traction Heritage Magazine.
By flipping through the pages, it looks to me that these are re-publications of various vintage publications of various types of Railway, train and trolley journals. Very interesting publications showing various times in the history of the railway system including commercial and public transportation.
Some great old advertising and pictures.
Theyare dated 1969
Issues included in this lot are:
1)Volume 2no. 1, “Selections from 1911ElectricRailway Journal”, it covers New Pay within cars at Boston, new steel cars of Long Island RRand much more. There is the name of a previous owner written in ink and then scratched overin the upper corner front cover.
2) Volume 2no. 2, ” Selections from 1900 StreetRailway Journal”, it covers A Trolley Pageant (New Orleans Mardi Gras), Overhead Line Construction,and much more.There is the name of a previous owner written in ink and then scratched overin the upper corner front cover.
There are light pencil marks on the front covers of both magazines.
All magazines are in good USED and PRE OWNED CONDITION, there is wear and tear along the edges, binding and corners, there is some rub marks and spotting etc on the covers and some pages, there is some stains on the front covers but does not bleed through to the pages,there is some fading or yellowing to the pages from age. There may besome small tears along the edges and bent or dented corners, but all magazines are in very readable condition
All damage mentioned above is normal and what you should expect for old vintage magazines. If you want perfect please don’t bid on these, if you want readable usable magazine and a trip down memory lane these are for you.
