Two lovely enamel pin badges in the form of locomotive steam trains – the red one reads LMR “Duchess”, the blue one simply has GR on it.
The London Midland Region (LMR) was one of the six regions created on the formation of the nationalised British Railways (BR), and initially consisted of ex-London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) lines in England and Wales. It existed from the creation of BR in 1948, ceased to be an operating unit in its own right in the 1980s, and was wound up at the end of 1992. During this time, there were 11 “Duchess” trains:

All items are sent in recycled packaging where possible, or are available for collection in Brighton (near the station, if you fancy a trip to the seaside!). Returns are accepted if items are not as described or not fit for purpose, but please bear in mind, I sell secondhand and vintage goods, they are not brand new or in pristine condition, but I do my best list them accurately and honestly, detailing any flaws or damage.
