This is the third of three books issued in connection to coinside with the 50th anniversary of the report ‘The Reshaping of British Railways’ where large parts of the network were proposed and many closed due to the increase in car ownership. This book tells of some of those closed now being reopened due to more people now travelling by rail perhaps owning a car with all it costs, crowded roads etc., not nearly now thought to be worthwhile in a lot of cases. The book has 130 pages of text, many coloured and B/W pictures, measures “8 x 11.75” and in very good condition.
