Here is a 3″ Diameter Crosby Steam Whistle With Built In Valve. The bell measures 3″ wide and 6 3/8″ tall. Overall height is 12″, and it has a 3/4″ threaded connecting inlet, which is stamped 2217 on the hex. It reads Crosby Steam Gage & Valve Co. Boston U.S. Pat Jan 30, 1877 below the rim of the bowl. It is in very good overall condition with no dents in the bell, and a few minor marks on the connecting hex. The lever is not original, but it works and looks good. I did take this whistle apart to lightly clean it inside and out. The inside valve seats well and is ready to work.
