Over 40 Original invoices from the Glasgow Barrhead and Kilmarnock Joint Railway, and the Glasgow and South Western Railway.
These all came from deed boxes of William Dixon, Iron founders and coal masters of Glasgow. These relate to their dealings with these railways.
There seems to be the following:
GB & K J 6 x handwritten invoices.
GB & K J 4 x printed ones fro consignments, 1897.
GB & K J 6 x goods/parcel notes.
G & SW 16 x consignment notes 1880 – 1906.
G & SW 14 x goods and parcels notes, e.g. bags of coal, waste etc. with details of final destinations.
There also is a goods and parcel note from the Caledonian Railway
These have been stored in a box for over 100 years and some are a bit grubby on the outside. There’s the odd small tear here and there, pin holes etc. Please see the pictures for a good idea of condition.
