LOCATION:Bournemouth WestDATE:Summer 1962SUBJECT: Anow lost terminus station scene with BR Standard Riddles 4 Class 2-6-0No. 76014 seen here waiting to departBournemouth West with the 13:20 local service to Salisbury. Built for BR at Horwich Works, she entered serviceduring 1953. At the date of the photograph, as can be seen from the small code platefixed to the smokebox door, she was allocated to Eastleigh (71A) shed. Latertransferred to Bournemouth (70F) shed from where she was withdrawn by BR duringSeptember 1966 after less than 13 years service. CONDITION:Good location details and some doodling hand written to reverse, plus oldadhesive marks (see scan) that do not detract from the quality on the imageside. The borders have been cropped for some reason. Always kept in an albumand with slight wear to single, lower corner as a consequence.PHOTOGRAPHER:Unknown.TYPE:Unbordered approx.
