An unused 6 1/2 x 3 5/8 inch embossed Ben Franklin 4 cent red violet postal stationery envelope, Scott #U536, with return address of “President – Norfolk and Western Railway Co. – Roanoke, Virginia” and an 8 1/4 x 11 inch Victor Bond with a letterhead for “Norfolk and Western Railway Company – Roanoke, Virginia – Stuart T. Saunders – President”  U536 first day of issue was July 31, 1958. Stuart Saunders was president of NW from 1958-1963. The company was the last major US railway to convert from steam during this time. The envelope and letterhead are in very good condition, however the letterhead was folded in 3 to fit in a legal size envelope by the previous owner. It will be shipped to you the same way.
