This coin/medal produced by Vaughtons Ltd in 1979 commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway. The celebration was known as Rocket 150 and brought together locomotives from all over Britain for a parade at Rainhill.The coin features the Rocket & Skew Bridge plus coats of arms of the original company and British Rail.It was in it’s original plastic box and felt packing which was sold separately. Now in the black plastic box shown in the photo.The medal was donated to our club to raise funds. It will the packed well for postage.thank you for looking.
