NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION:- Issue date = 2 August 1961 (or 1951?)WHAT AM I BIDDING ON?:- Part of a collection of several thousand photographs which have been bequeathed to a railway charity in Yorkshire in order to help raise funds. All photographs are believed to be darkroom-produced and they are all in traditional ‘enprint’ format (ie 5.5” x 3.5” approx.). They are believed to be a mixture of self-taken shots (for which we understand no negatives exist) and ‘bought-ins’. They have been scanned in at 400dpi without any further effort to embellish via Photoshop etc. Some have borders, some don’t; some have narrative on the reverse, some don’t…… Please refer to NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION above for further detail.
