British World War One era Lucas ‘King of the Road’ made for the War Department (WD) military carbide railway lamp.
Incredibly rare WD marked (impressed in the steel, not just stamped) military variant of a type used for railway use during the early years of the 20th Century.
Would have been in use on military trains or military vehicles as an auxiliary lamp.
In original paint and uncleaned condition, though the original lens has some damage (supplied).
If you are a collector of such items, you will know how rare these are, a plastic replacement lens, for display purposes is supplied.
