The Legendary Trains Encyclopaedic Cards arebelieved to have been issued in 1996 by Orbis Direct and are an incomplete setof 37 cards that each has a large colour image on one side and various text andimages on the other. The cards with the exception of the one with a image ofthe LMS ROYAL SCOT CLASS 4-6-0 locomotive on it have three ring binder holeson one side of them and it is believed that the cards were designed to divideinto various title sections within purpose made ring binders which are notpresent with the cards. The card without the ring binder holes is thinner andis thought to be a publishers sample. There appears to be some discolourationto the cards and some dirt, scuff and crease marks on them but nothing that is particularlyprominent or detrimental to the appearance of the cards. There is some slight softeningand rounding to the tips of the corners of the cards with some more noticeablyaffected than others. The approximate size of each card with the exception ofthe sample is 250mm x 185mm. The approximate combined weight of the cards is286g.
