PRR PENN PENNSYLVANIA Railroad MOUNTAIN LAUREL Syracuse China Bread plates
Up for sale is a pair of bread plates made for the Penn railroad System. The pattern is called Mountain Laurel. Made by Syracuse China. Patterns can be seen on pg. 126 of McIntyre’s The Official Guide to Railroad Dining Car China and on pg. 229/225 of Luckin’s Dining on Rails.Both are in good condition with no chips or cracks but each has a dull spot in the glaze where a imperfection was ground out. This was a common practice of Syracuse China. Each plate measures 6 1/2″ Across. Would make a nice great addition to any Railroad China collection. Check my other auctions!!!
