From myfather’s extensive collection of railwayana comes this NBR cap.
I haven’t inherited his enthusiasm for all things steam-railway related, so I’ve had to resort to Wikepedia to find out more, but it appears this cap is around 100 years old, or more, since the North British Railway was absorbed into the LNER in 1923
Overall, it’s in great condition considering its age. There are some marks in the peak, some of the yellow braid has been lost on one side, and the stitching around the leather lining has worn through in places. I think the guarantee has run out by now though.
