The continuing survey of the London & North Westerns railways in the South Lancashire coalfield.
Completion of the “Triangle is made by construction of the Pennington Loop lines; this, and the route via Leigh are examined. Eastward of the triangle another much ignored branch, that from Roe Green to Bolton Great Moor Street is also portrayed.
