This antique steel oil can is stamped “NPR” which I assume to be Northern Pacific Railroad.  It came from the collection here in Seattle along with another can from a local railroad.  The can is 10.5″ tall and is 6″ in diameter.  The can looks like a “barn find” given its rusty state.  I have not attempted to clean it or restore it in any way.  The lid is rusted fast and there is a small hole just below the lid on the handle side.  I think the can dates from the 20’s or 30’s.
