This is a nice group lot of six different pull down maps in a large pull down display / storage box case. There are six maps in the case. I opened up five of the maps, but the bottom one was pretty torn up so I did not want to damage it further by trying to unroll it (see photos). Most of the maps look to be by Tunison’s and they date to the early 1st quarter of the1900’s (see photos). The maps show Railroad train distances and other information about the areas that are represented on the maps. The four larger maps I unrolled were for the American states of Kansas, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri (see photos). The smaller map is for the Detroit, Michigan area. I do not know where the unrolled map is from or what location it depicts. The items are mounted in an antique wooden case. The wooden case has been painted green (see photos). The item boxed in total measures about 1 foot 3 inches high and it is about 4 feet 5 inches wide. The case has scuffs, wear, scratches and some splits in the wood and some wear from age and handling (see photos). The maps are in AS IS condition. The maps have losses, damage, stains, holes, tears, and they are in need of restoration, conservation or repair (see photos and / or the written description for the condition of this item).
