*** VINTAGE SLATER’S IMPROVED RAILWAY PARCEL BALANCE No. 55 SCALES ***
This is a great retro piece! Dates to around the 1920’s and made by Salter’s. Would make a great addition to any home for use or display. It is exceptionally heavy and well built, weighs about 8kg!
It does appear to have been repainted black at some point, and also has some gold parts to lower front part. However, it has been well done and was likely done a very long time ago as the black paint has chips, rust and wear in parts, so it has not been recently done.
In great overall original condition and still work perfect. The white ceramic scale reader has slight marks and one chip and there is rust in parts, mostly to underside of the base though! Please bear in mind the age of this item when buying. See photos.
Weighs approx 8kg, and that is without any packing. We will allow up to 10kg including packing so as not to avoid damage in transit. Due to the weight, this can be posted via courier only, and via the Ebay Global Shipping program only for international orders.
