Cab Rides Volume One – Kent & SussexTonbridge to Hastings (via Battle) – January 1989After departing from Tonbridge Station the train branches off to right at Tonbridge Junction and joins the Hastings Line, we are then passed by a light engine Intercity liveried Class 73 shortly before High Brooms station. Along the way a number of Jaffa Cake liveried Class 411 4CEP EMUs are also seen.On the approach to Tunbridge Wells, a Wickham Rail Car is seen in the disused siding at Wells Tunnel Junction, and on departing Tunbridge Wells the junction to the old Tunbridge Wells West Station is clearly seen branching to the right.We then pass through the stations at Frant, Wadhurst, Stonegate, Etchingham and Robertsbridge. Shortly after Robertsbridge we pass the Gypsum sidings at Mountfield where a rake of hopper wagons sit in the yard.We carry on through Battle, Crowhurst, West St Leonards and St Leonards Warrior Square before finally arriving at Hastings.Dover Priory to Ashford – August 1990After departing Dover Priory Station the train enters Harbour Tunnel and passes the freight sidings leading to the docks. We head along Shakespeare Cliff and into the famous cathedral like tunnel.The train continues through Warren Staff Halt and is passes by a ‘Jaffa Cake’ Class 411 & Class 419 Motor Luggage Van.We continue our journey past Folkestone East Junction and Staff Halt and into Folkestone Central.
