This is BR Western Region (WTT (Working Timetable) Section 1, dated May 3rd 1971 to April 30th 1972. Passenger and freight trains, including a full summer Saturday service which saw through trains from Paddington to places like Tenby, Kingswear and Barnstaple. Motorail from Kensington to Paignton and Fishguard and much much more. Milk empties from Kensington to Penzance are also featured.
Also includes a list of booked freight trains from the LMR to the WR via Acton Wells, plus a page detailing freight trips on short branches Cholsey to Wallingford, Southall to Brentford and West Drayton – Colnbrook.
In total the books has 246 pages. No missing or torn pages and no writing apart from the name on the cover. Some page corners have small creases and the paper covering on the spine is loose at both the top and bottom. Both front and rear covers are fully intact however. No loose pages.
Please note that the book has suffered slightly from damp marks/spots, as some of the pages I have illustrated show. In the main it affects just the first few and the last few. All information is still easy to read however. The pages have a very slight brown ‘tint’ due the age of the book (paper discolouration). However, it remains a most interesting publication as to the WR’s operations at that time. This is a genuine, original copy.
