I believe this to be some sort of brake gauge as fitted to a class 751 ‘Grumpy’ Czech diesel locomotive. Picked up from the stores maybe 25 years ago. It looks unused but of course I have no way of testing it electronically to see if it is still a ‘live’ piece of a cab-fitted instrument. It may be new or used, I don’t know. It may or may not actually work.
The glass ‘face’ has Kg /Cm2
On top of the metal surround are various Czech words and numbers, including 24 V and 0.1 A
The rear has 3 ‘prongs’ inside a ‘screw in’ housing which I guess would fit into a suitable space within the locomotive cab dashboard
The face has a diameter of just under 7 cm and is around 10 cm long (*over the ‘screw-in’ housing) and weighs 350g approx.
Sold as seen….it’s probably not compatible with any UK diesel locomotive. No warranty is implied or given. Sold as a ‘collectible’ item rather than a working part. It may not even be a brake gauge, perhaps loco brake only? I don’t know.
