British Rail BR Uniform Scarf ~ ex BR Stores ~ Vintage and Rare
You will receive an unused British Rail scarf.
It would probably have been worn around the neck (possibly a headscarf) by a female member of BR staff.
This scarf is made from a fine satin (or similar) material in white with a navy blue border & WEB motif.I am told that the web motif indicates this was made for the Crewe area. Possibly relating to the British Rail Operations Training Centre (Webb House) at Crewe or Crewe Works.
The scarf appears new and unused – straight from BR Stores before being stored away. The date of manufacture is not certain, but I would estimate it as coming from the BR Blue period (1965 to 1982)
It is quite large would look nice framed as part of a railwayana collection.Please feel free to make an offer on this nice very rare item.
