This tie came out at the time when British Rail was liberating some of its senior to middle managers, from this period came mugs, diaries and of course ties. This tie was created for the Area Manager West Midlands which operated Birmingham New Street, the ties design reflects the heritage of the area by having as part of the logo the coats of arms of both the GWR & LMS railways.. In good condition although some staining where the tie is knotted.
