Original British Railways Eastern Operating Department Area document ‘For Information of Railway Executive Employees only’ (but I think enough time has passed since April 1952 for it to be safe to read this!). This document will take you back to another time when even fixed telephones on the railway were few, so enginemen often had to use their whistle to advise the signalman of their required routing at stations and yards, including a requirement to take water. 36 pages, 7″ x 11 1/2″. Unmarked, some yellowing but an amazing survivor from nearly 70 years ago. Im sure that you wont be disappointed but please only bid if you intend to complete the purchase.
