This 39 page booklet is a 1961 facsimile reproduction of the original 1873 rules and regulations for “officers and men” in the employ of the famous Wotton Tramway, the history of which will be well known to enthusiasts. Suffice it to say, it was once incorporated into the Metropolitan Railway and, thus, part of London Underground. Can’t imagine how today’s unions would react to a re-issue of these draconian rules & regs on the current network!

This is a nice clean copy of an original document that tells a lot about life on the railways in the early Victorian are and makes, believe it or not, a fascinating read. This copy is in great condition with no marks or scuffs.
