Some were through piped only with no brakeshoes and were marked with a prominent X below the number. And moved fuel for the fishing boats from Derry toKillybegs. Three brake 3rds came from Pickering in 1905 and we see No 42 atStranorlar on 17-6-48. It is not in very good condition and as all three werecondemned in 1951, one wonders if it had reached the end of its active life? Finally we take a look at CDR van 29x and can see the rudimentary hand brakelever and brake shoe and absence of vacuum fittings.
