original as taken off alloy class 37 bogie plate
oval, raised rim, 2 bolt holes, very dirty, reads CP7 / 89
being alloy (the as built ones are brass) means its the bogie set attached to 37039 when it got converted to 37504 (and later 37603) around 1985 – as the bogies were also improved and refurbished the original serial numbers were changed as/when fitted
lots of dinks and knocks in it as they were situated on the front of the bogie and susceptible to being hit by ballast, loco pipes and swinging couplings
size – 13.4cm x 7.6cm
