This is a sale of a collection of steam locomotive and train and railway location postcards and postcard sized original photographs. They are a mixture from the 1930s onwards but mainly 1950s/1960s. A lot of Southern Region subjects noted (e.g. Lyme Regis station and branch line) but wide ranging over whole of UK. Some are credited on back with photographers name e.g. H C Casserley and others have notes on back giving details of photo while some have blank reverse side. Have counted over 500 postcard and postcard sized photos and maybe 100 larger photos roughly 7×5 (old half-plate size mainly). They are all in a sturdy box file and make up a substantial package weighing well over 2KG which I will send to the winning bidder POST FREE although the postage cost will probably exceed 7. I am disposing of these as I really need the space as part of a general downsize. I believe that these postcards wcould be worth several hundred pounds if sold individually and half the proceeds of this sale will go to charity.
