Superb quality colour printed on A2 size poster paper. Map is true-to-date, with principal graphic sourced from Network Rail website; but with missing lines/services, track misalignments, etc, adjusted for 1963. Its layout is quite unusual because it juxtaposes all of England (south of Scarborough) and Wales with all of Northern Ireland, plus the eastern section of the Irish Republic and the Channel Islands – which enables a larger scale map to be printed on a smaller A2 poster (which is fine if you don’t need Scotland or the far north of England). The background colour is a light beige. Strategic bus and ferry links are included. Good sharp image – see sample. Complex inner-city and suburban detail is not included as clarity would suffer. The old BR logo is used in place of the current NR logo. Please note that a frame is not included.
Securely sent – carefully rolled in a postal tube, plus I always get proof of postage. If you want recorded delivery, please ask before paying and I’ll give you a revised invoice.
This attractive map can be used for information or just framed and hung as a work of art. A nice piece for any rail enthusiast who misses the old British Rail days, where a proper rail map was produced.
