WHY 5X8 PRINTS? Because the old steam age railfan photographers used 616 and 122 size film which are super long on one side and do not work well with traditional 5×7 or 8×10 prints. The 5×8 print just fits so much better and works great for steam locomotive portraits. However if you want a traditional 5×7 print just add it to the notes at checkout and I will print them 5×7. All photos are printed by myself on Archival Black & White San Gabriel Heavy Weight Museum Quality Paper.  All prints are made fresh when ordered.  I’ve been collecting and printing railroad steam locomotive negatives and prints since 1984! Note- The TAPLINES RAILROAD PHOTOGRAPHY watermark will not be on the finished photographs.San Gabriel Baryta SemiGloss 2.0 offers all of the rich tonality, depth, and feel of a traditional darkroom print. The paper has a lightly textured surface, similar to a fine satin. This elegant finish adds depth and subtle reflectivity to the finished print.  San Gabriel SemiGloss Fiber has a pleasant warm tone that adds natural richness to portraits and landscapes.  Black & White images also benefit from San Gabriel’s deep blacks and exceptional contrast.  San Gabriel’s whiteness comes from a layer containing a special barium sulfate variant called blanc-fixe, which means permanent white.  This material is inert and lends stability to the shade of the paper over time.  The coating and base stock are acid free. The base stock is made from alpha cellulose and is lignin free. San Gabriel gives you all you need for true exhibition quality photographic prints.
If you would like a larger size print, just let me know. I can make 8×10 ($6 each print), 11×14 ($12 each print) and 13×19 ($20 each print).I will then list it as a special buy it now just for you.Don’t need all the prints listed, just let me know which ones you need and I’ll do a special buy it now just for you!
