LOCATION:Talyllyn Railway, WalesDATE: 2008SUBJECT:A superb portrait of ‘FletcherJennings Bb Class Dolgoch0-4-0WT seen here arriving at what I am guessing is probably Bryglas station.Dolgoch is a narrow gauge0-4-0well tank locomotive. She was built by Fletcher, Jennings & Co. in 1866 andis one of the oldest locomotives still in active service. It was delivered tothe Talyllyn Railway in 1866, and continues to runon this railway. The engine was renamed “Pretoria” between about 1900and 1914 in celebration of the relief of the township of Pretoria in SouthAfrica by Lord Roberts during the Boer war.
