From rare, original and mostlycolor 16mm film that was superbly digitally enhanced in 2005 by GregScholl Video Productions entitled UnionPacific Steam Classics Volume 1 comes thisincomparable treasure trove of Union Pacific steam locomotive footageof massive and rare 3-cylinder 4-12-2 engines of the 9000 class. Additionally, vintage 4-8-2’s, 4-8-4’s, 4-6-2’s, 2-8-2’s, as well as2-8-0’s in switching service, are captured in both freight and localpassenger train service in the late 1940’s through 1958 on the UP’sKansas division and the Nebraska subdivision that have now faded intohistory. To augment the nearly 1 hour vintage footage material,there is an additional 30 minutes of bonus contemporary footage ofUP’s re-built 0-6-0 number 4466 at Sacramento, Californiaaccompanied by appropriate music and narration. This is virtually abrand new DVD, having been viewed only once after its initialreceipt, and partially viewed prior to this e-Bay listing to verifythat it plays flawlessly.
