Framed pictureBroad Gauge at Paddingtonby Don BreckonBroad gauge 8ft single locomotive Rover heading an express away from Paddington circa 1890. Twenty-four engines of the Rover class were built at Swindon from 1847 onwards and renewed between 1871 and 1888. The track is mixed gauge because the standard 4ft 81/2m has already advanced into broad gauge territory. Finally, on one weekend in May 1892, Brunel’s 7ft Oin track was lifted and the broad gauge locomotives came to an end. Beautiful picture framed in a 30 x 24 cm, (12 x 10 inch) size clipframe. The picture offered does NOT have the “SAMPLE” watermark!!
