This auction is for an original print, not a scan or reproduction, size 5 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ . As far as is known there are no other copies of this print in existence. 9700-9710 of this class were introduced 1933, and were built with condensing gear for London area service on LT Metropolitan Line. No. 9709 was allocated to oald oak Common, and was scrapped in 1962 by Cashmores in South W ales
This photo would have been taken before the end of BR steam in 1968, and is not from the preservation era. It was probably taken during an official railtour or works/shed visit.I am sure that you won’t be disappointed but please only bid if you intend to complete the purchase.
