Today the railway may have mostly gone, but this super ticket from mid-Summer’s day 1961 has survived safely to remind us of happy days in the sun on England’s ‘Holiday Isle’.
Ryde St Johns, the original terminus of the IOWR, down to Ryde Esplanade along the tracks, and tunnel, laid originally by the joint LSWR/LBSCR to make the link to the ferries at Ryde Pier.
