Subject: LMS Class 2P 0-6-0T no.7162. One of a class of tank locos for dock working.Most dock tanks had only four coupled wheels in order to allow them to negotiate the tight curves. Needing a more powerful engine, Sir Henry Fowler designed an 0-6-0 tank locomotive with a 96 wheelbase. Helped by its Cartazzi self-centring axleboxes on the rear axle the loco could negotiate curves of 2 chains.A vintage darkroom print, not an inkjet copy.Size: 5 x 3.Condition: Very good, but corners lightly depressed where previously displayed in an album. all_stations does not appear on the purchased print.Note: Copyright is not included.
