This cast iron railway bridge plate (No. 48) would have been fixed to a bridge abutment to identify the location. You can see from the corrosion on the reverse that it is an original item. The LMS Railway was formed at the time of the railway grouping in 1922, and operated until 1948 when the railways were nationalised.  The plate is approximately 17 3/4″ x 11 1/4″. As noted above, it is not a reproduction.
This original item has been carefully restored to display condition. It was probably purchased from BR’s Collector’s Corner shop at Euston station many years ago.It will be of interest to railway enthusiasts, or perhaps as a house number plate. Please bid only if you intend to complete the purchase. UK based bidders only please unless you contact me in advance. Payment is accepted by PayPal, cleared cheque or cash on collection. The items will only be released on receipt of full payment.
