Notice of Arrival of Goods, London and South Western Railway. I believe the stamp is SG48 plate 4 but this is from a collector who was more interested in postmarks and covers to cast some light on postal and social history. In this case, the contents page is also fascinating. I have not been able to work out the stations mentioned.
The condition of the cover: see photos. Id say its fairly tatty but unsurprising if the practice was to merely stamp a letter, rather than enclose in an envelope.
