London to Birmingham Railway 1838-1988 & Bluebell Railway 1882-1982 Medallions

 

 

Medallion1 has “Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Official Opening of the London and Birmingham Railway” and has a picture of a train on one side, with “London and Birmingham Railway, George Carr Glyn – Chairman, Robert Stephenson – Engineer, Philip Hardwick – Architect, 1838-1988” and a picture of a columned frontage on the back.

 

 

Medallion 2 has “Bluebell Railway Floreat Vapor” and a coat of arms on the front, with “1882-1982 Lewes and East Grinstead Railway Company” and another coat of arms on the back.

 

 

Medallion 2 is Solid Nickel Silver, medallion 2 is gold in colour but not sure what the metal is.

 

 

Medallions within holder are in great condition, holders have various marks, scratches, etc. from being handled and stored, please check the photos for more details.
