Lovely vintage 1937 complete set “Wonderful Railway Travel” issued by Churchman.The 50 cards have images of trains in spectacular scenery backdrops from 18 countries around the World. Many depict exceptional bridges, many in seemingly precarious positions, that were major feats of construction at the time. Others show trains in different rugged terrains that would have been significant challenges in the eras. On the reverse of each card is an informative text covering aspects such as :- name of the route, country, height of the mountain track, gradients, span of bridges, length of viaducts etc.By any standards this is a beautiful set and in exception condition after 82 years. All of the cards are in superb condition.
