Finely detailed metal steam Locomotive that is also a cigarette dispenser or trinket box, made in Occupied Japan in the 1950’s.
This Locomotive is cast in metal with a silver/grey finish and excellent sharp detail, from the rivets in the boiler to the ornate decorations on the cab. The top of cab/coal car lifts off revealing a 3.5″ by 2.25″ space inside for cigarettes, or whatever you’d like to stash. The underside is marked with a winged globe logo reading “JAPAN – No. 2”.
It measures 9.5″ long by 2.5″ wide by 3.75″ tall, and weighs 2 lbs.
