This is a Morrison Knudsen Vintage 1981 Remanufactured Railroad Train Locomotive Aluminum Plaque Sign. Morrison Knudsen was an American civil engineering and construction company with headquarters in Boise, Idaho. They designed and constructed major infrastructure throughout the world and were one of the firms that built the Hoover Dam, San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge, the NASA Vehicle Assembly Building, the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. and many other large projects of the American infrastructure. They also rebuilt locomotives, including the four Delaware & Hudson ALCO PAs.
This plaque was intended to be used on a rebuilt locomotive, but was never engraved nor used. It measures 14 inches by 6 inches. Morrison Knudsen is out of business. This is very rare and impossible to find. This was made for Morrison Knudsen by the Southwell Company of San Antonio Texas. The Southwell Company is no longer in business.
