Supplement No 10 to the Narrow Gauge Times magazine. Quite often when buying back issues of the NGT the supplements supplied in some issues when new, are missing. Not sure which actual issue this came from but NGE copyright date is 1978.
This particular supplement is a single-sided document, reproducing an article with illustration style drawings. It is from The Engineer magazine of 05 May 1899 featuring a 2-6-4T narrow gauge goods tank locomotive ‘President Kruger’ for the 3 feet 6 inch gauge, Pretoria and Petersburg Railway, South Africa. Built by Beyer Peacock & Company of Manchester. Other side of document is blank.
Document is approx 24″ x 17″ and was originally folded into eight segments to fit inside the magazine. Generally in very good condition, just one tiny hole on a ‘fold junction’!
Useful document for narrow gauge scholars or to enhance your collection of Narrow Gauge Times. Many thanks for looking.
