Supplement No 8A/B to the Narrow Gauge Times magazine. Quite often when buying back issues of the NGT the supplements supplied in some issues when new, are missing. Not sure which actual issue this came from but NGE copyright date is 1977.
This particular supplement is a two-sided document reproducing an article with illustration style drawings, from The Engineer magazine of 15 Jan 1897 on rack locomotives and features in part 8A , Abt System loco for the Beyreuth – Damascus – Hauran Railway 0-6-2T of 3 feet 51/3 inch gauge built in 1896. Part 8B, on the reverse, again from The Engineer this time issue 02 July 1886, is a Riggenbach System Baldwin 0-4-0 rack locomotive built in 1886 for the Estrada de Ferro Principe do Grao Para, Brazil.
Document is approx 24″ x 17″ and was originally folded into eight segments to fit inside the magazine. Generally in very good condition, no holes or tears.
Useful document for narrow gauge scholars or to enhance your collection of Narrow Gauge Times. Many thanks for looking.
