Rare Amtrak Book Equipment Plan and Data Manual NRPC CMO-117 MechanicalMassive Passenger Car Dimensioned Drawing & Floorplan Collection – NRPC CMO-117. This is an authentic, original manual used by Amtrak (it’s the real deal!). It was given to me by a gentleman who recently retired from Amtrak after working there for over 20 years. This is an amazing book of diagrams and statistics of the various passenger cars in the Amtrak fleet at the time of printing (seems to be somewhere in the late 70s-early 80s, This is a 3-ring binder with 2.25″ of pages of Amtrak coaches descriptions, specs, graphic representation of layout, and interior and exterior photos of that particular car type. The build date for most of these cars were 1940’s and 1950’s. There are quite a few from mid to late 1930’s, and the last 3 cars that are included were from 1977.The car types are coach/passenger, baggage, baggage-dormitory, baggage-coach, bar-lounge, sleeper, galley, observation, tavern, parlor, buffet, coach, diner, sleeper, dome sleeper, diner-counter, Coach-Legrest. I started out trying to list all of the combinations – like diner/lounge – but the combinations were too many. There are no dates on the books – it’s a 3 ring binder in which pages were added in over time.If the paper were the thickness of copy paper – there would be over 500 pages. The paper is thicker and I am going to guess there are 200 car descriptions. On the back side of the page, there is sometimes a list of car numbers or car names that share this configuration. Their is one named “Boston,” and I saw “City of Seattle,” but many had numbers listed and more had no names or numbers. This is a large and heavy collection of papers and binder. Please see all the pictures for more details. The binder measures about 9 3/4″ x 11 1/2″ x 3″.It’s an incredible set of documents for collectors, fan, modelers, train enthusiasts, historians, and educators with an incredibly cool collection of diagrams and details! This is a very rare opportunity to have your very own, original copy! – definitely would make a great gift! This comes from our smoke-free, pet-free home. Thanks for looking!** I am offering both media mail and Priority Mail (1-3 days) shipping options.
